Abduction Of 600 Katsina Students Has Exposed President Buhari – PDP

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rebuked President Buhari over the abduction of no fewer than 600 students from the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

PDP said the abduction had shown that Buhari is incapable of securing Nigerians.

Some unknown gunmen had invaded GSS in Kankara and abducted about 600 students.

However, spokesman of PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan said the abduction exposed President Buhari’s failure as Commander-In-Chief.

Ologbondiyan noted that Buhari’s inability to secure Nigeria was responsible for the call for his resignation.

A statement by Ologbondiyan reads partly: “Our party holds as perplexing that at a time the people of Katsina should have heaved a sigh of relief because of his presence, the abduction happened right under Mr. President’s nose; in his home state, where he had gone holidaying.

“This development has further exposed the failure of President Buhari to manage high level security intelligence that ought to accompany a presidential visit.”

The PDP’s spokesman wondered why the abduction occurred when Buhari was in Daura, his hometown.

“The time of the attack buttresses the fact that President Buhari, as the commander-in-chief, is totally incapable of securing our nation; the very reason there have been widespread calls by patriotic Nigerians that he should resign,” he added.

PDP Has Gone Gaga – APC Reacts To Deregistration Call

All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday declared that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership has gone senile.

In a statement on Tuesday, APC spokesman, Yekini Nabena, said the PDP was engaging in another “beer parlour rant”.

The opposition had told the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister APC and declare its lawmakers’ seats vacant.

Peoples Democratic Party made the call in response to the dissolution of all APC structures nationwide.

Nabena warned that Nigeria’s democracy was in danger judging by PDP’s utterances and actions.

“It is now clear that the PDP’s disillusionment following their rejection by Nigerians in the 2011 and 2019 general elections has degenerated into senility. It is common knowledge that the PDP leadership is currently facing a serious crisis of confidence as a result of its rudderless leadership.

“It will seem that the PDP crisis has been grossly under played. How does one explain the public rebuke by the former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki to the PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus to stay clear of the party’s reconciliation efforts?

“With the PDP as the supposed main opposition lacking the capacity to provide rigorous and intelligent interrogation of the policies and programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration, we reiterate our frustration that the PDP is pushing Nigeria into a one-party state which the APC does not subscribe to”, he said.

APC called on other parties to assume “the true role of opposition”, insisting the the PDP has lost its relevance.
