Lagos by-election: APC’s Abiru Wins Epe With Wide Margin

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the December 5 senatorial bye-election in Lagos State, Tokunbo Abiru, has won in Epe Local Government Area.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s Collation Officer in Epe, Prof. Elijah Oyeyemi, said that the APC candidate won with a wide margin of 22,213 out of the total votes cast of 24,678.

The Collation Officer went further to explain that the total accredited voters was 24,736 while the total registered voters was 147,074.
He gave the number of valid votes as 24,296, while voided votes was 382.
Epe had 19 registered voting areas.
The Lagos East bye-election was held in Somolu, Kosofe, Ikorodu, Epe and Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Areas.
